The 2010 Compensation & Employment Outlook Survey for Oklahoma and Texas is available for purchase.
Two Hundred Fifteen (215) organizations submitted responses. Sixty four (64) organizations responded with information for their Oklahoma operations while one hundred fifty one (151) organizations responded with information for their Texas operations. The organizations responding are listed in the report along with the Location, Size Code, Industry Group, and a brief
description of their Products Manufactured or Services Rendered.
Data was collected from December 15, 2009 through January 22, 2010.

Key points regarding the 2010 Compensation & Employment Outlook Survey for Oklahoma and Texas:
215 Organizations providing input;
Tabula data is presented for all 215 organizations with charts and analysis;
Selected tables provide sub-cuts for Oklahoma and Texas, Manufacturing / Industrial and Service / Other and organization size;
Tabular data is presented for Non-Exempt (Hourly / Operations), Non-Exempt (Administrative / Office Clerical) and Exempt employee groups;
Twenty two percent (22%) of the organizations responded that the Economic Outlook for the next six months is WORSE than the previous year while thirty five percent (35%) of the organizations responded that the Economic Outlook for the next six months is BETTER than the previous year. The Manufacturing / Industrial organizations are more optimistic with forty five percent (45%) responding BETTER compared to the Service / Other organizations with only nineteen percent (19%) responding BETTER.
Almost half of the organizations reported implementing salary freezes prior to December 31, 2009. It appears the economic downturn has slowed, with only 20% of the organizations predicting a salary freeze for 2010, while almost half (46%) of the organizations reporting a 2010 Base Salary Increase Budget of 3.0% or more.
Only 10% of the organizations expect a reduction in workforce in the first 6 months of 2010, while 20% of the organizations expect an increase in workforce in the first 6 months of 2010
