More Information About the Texas/Louisiana Petro-Chem Compensation Survey

The Texas/Louisiana Petro-Chem Compensation Survey is new for 2007. Data is being collected as of April 1, 2007. This survey is open to chemical, petrochemical, refining and related process industries located throughout Texas and Louisiana. Eligibility to participate will be determined by Quorum.

The data will be summarized and compared for geographical regions (based upon participation) and for all participants.

Survey Benefits:

  • Reports on 114 jobs common to the Chemical/Petrochemical Industry;

  • Reliable and timely wage and salary information;

  • Comprehensive analysis regarding external competitiveness;

  • Assistance in diagnosing current and potential internal equity issues;

  • Accurately compare wages/salaries to the pay practices of other chemical/petrochemical companies in the survey;

  • Implement and effectively monitor "geographical" pay differentials; and

  • Develop, implement and monitor an over-all pay policy that supports the corporate strategy.

  • Meets US Department of Justice Safe Harbor Guidelines

All Data will be contained in a single CD-ROM disc and presented in a printed report.

The Survey report shows the lowest, average, highest, median and employee weighted pay practices for each survey position as well as the 25th and 75th percentiles. Salary range information is also reported for each position along with the number of collective bargaining units, the number of companies that pay bonuses/incentives and the average bonus/incentive paid.

Pay practices will also be summarized for each position based upon company size and geographical location.

Salary administration practices reported include types of salary increases, method of distributing increases, last and next merit budgets, the prevalence of various reward systems, shift differential, progression rates, pay practices specific to process operations and paid time off.

Survey pricing:

  • Price $650.
  • For multiple locations submitted from the same office, there is a 50% discount ($325) for 2nd, 3rd, etc. (multiple) locations. Individual Analysis for each location will be sent to the person submitting along with a single bound report.
  • Optional - Submit for your location and receive the Executive Summary at no charge.
  • The Texas/Louisiana-PCC Survey is a closed survey. This survey will NOT be sold to Non-Participants.
